Likely this is because the virus definition database is not up to date. This could be for many reasons, but the most common is that your computer may have been disconnected from the Internet for some time. To resolve this, open the AVG interface and click on ‘Check for Updates’. If this fails to bring AVG out of error state, contact us on 0333 340 7000 and we will be happy to assist you further.
